Joey Kamide is entering his third season as an assistant coach with the Warhawks, his first with the junior varsity team ... Spent the previous two seasons as a varsity assistant ... Varsity team compiled a 32-13 overall record and won the 2006 Liberty District championship in his two seasons as an assistant ... Will also serve as an advanced scout for the varsity again this spring … Spent two years as a coach with the Vienna Mustangs travel team, and currently serves as the head coach of the MVP Tigers 14U team ... Serves as a hitting instructor at MVP Baseball School in Fairfax ... Is a 1997 Herndon High graduate, where he helped the Hornets repeat as Concorde District and Northern Region champions in 1996 ... Ran the Herndon Dawgs Industrial League team for five years as a player/manager ... Won seven Virginia Press Association (VPA) awards for sports writing before getting into coaching ...
