Brian's Baseball History

Second Year Varsity Warhawk

Brian began playing baseball in Vienna when his family moved to the area. He played Vienna Little League for the Yankees and was an All-star each season. He was a key player for the State Champion All-star team as a 12 year old that finished third in the Southeast United States, behind the Little League World Champions from Florida. Brian has continued playing summer and fall baseball for the Vienna Mustangs.

As a freshman, Brian was a member of the undefeated 2004 JV Warhawks as they won the District. As a sophomore he started many games at third base and also saw action at second base. Brian was known for his defensive contributions as a sophomore and will be called upon to be a key defensive player again as a junior. Brian hopes his work in the cage will help him contribute to the Warhawks offensive attack  in 2006. He and Rich Conlon are expected to make the left side of the infield a strength in 2006.

Brian's thoughts on the Season: "I haven't been this excited for a season in a long time.  We've put in the time during the off-season and continued to be relentless in the pre-season. It will pay off during the season."

Coach Gjormand on Brian: "Brian returns for his junior season after a very good sophomore campaign at third base. Brian has tremendous instincts necessary to play the position the way we feel it should be played. Brian has the ability to play both middle infield positions, and to play them well."
