Second Year Varsity Warhawk

David played baseball in Vienna Little League since age 6. He was a two-time All-star for the Mets. At age 13 David played Babe Ruth baseball and was an All-star. He continued to play baseball  for the Vienna Mustangs and played in the 16U CABA World Series following his sophomore year.

As a freshman he was a member of the undefeated 2004 JV Warhawks. David joined the Varsity Warhawks in 2005 as a sophomore. Early in the season he contributed as a base runner. As the season progressed, he cracked the starting line-up as an outfielder and combined with Mark Riffee at the top of the order to give the Warhawks some punch. David played football for the Varsity Warhawks and sustained an off-season injury that will keep  him out of the line-up at the beginning of the '06 campaign. The Warhawks hope to get him back in the line-up soon. He is joined by his brother Kyle on the 2006 Warhawks.

David's Baseball History

David's thoughts on the Season: "There is a certain swagger the team has that tells me we will go far."

Coach Gjormand on David: "David  returns to the varsity as a junior. David really stepped up for us last year as a sophomore in left field and, more importantly, as a consistent hitter for a very inexperienced offensive team. David is recovering from an injury he sustained in football, but we hope to have him back in time for the postseason."
