He was a key player for the State Champion All-star team as a 12 year old that finished third in the Southeast United States, behind the Little League World Champions from Florida. Brian has continued playing summer and fall baseball for the Vienna Mustangs.

As a freshman, Brian was a member of the undefeated 2004 JV Warhawks as they won the District. He joins the Varsity Warhawks as an infielder for his sophomore season.

Brian's thoughts on the Season: "Although we are a relatively young team, I think we will surprise a lot of people and do something special this year."

Coach Gjormand on Brian: "Brian  enters his sophomore year with a great deal of potential. Smitty has the ability to play any infield position and has a nice relaxed approach at the plate.  He has the ability to make a difference right away and is a team guy in every sense of the word."
