In 2004, Sterling played for the Vienna Mustangs in the CABA U15 Consolation Bracket Tournament winning the Consolation Championship. Sterling was an excellent player for the 2004 Undefeated JV Warhawks that won the District Championship his freshman season. He joins the Varsity Warhawks as a talented and hard-throwing sophomore right-handed pitcher who may also help the 2005 Warhawks in the infield and with his bat. Sterling's thoughts on the Season: "We are young but if we just go out and play like we know how and just have fun, we will succeed." Coach Gjormand on Sterling: "Sterling has returned to the field this spring after coming off of a severe knee injury suffered in football. His potential is untapped. Sterling gets the bat moving at the plate and is not afraid to cut it loose on the mound. As this kid gets comfortable, he is going to be fun to watch for the next three years."
