Height: 6'1" Weight: 175 Throws: Left Bats: Left GPA: 3.0 Colleges Interested in attending: Auburn, Florida, Virginia, LSU and Clemson School and Academic Recognition: Varsity baseball letter Jason has played baseball in Vienna since he was six years old. He played for The Vienna Little League Indians and was an all-star every year. As a 12 year-old Jason was one of the key players that won the State Championship and finished third in the Southeastern United States just behind the World Champions from Florida. Since Little League, Jason has played for Vienna Mustangs since he was 13. He enjoyed an excellent summer following his freshman year for the Mustangs including the Summer High School Tournament in Louisville, KY. Jason enjoyed an outstanding freshman season earning second team All-Liberty District as pitcher. He showed his outstanding potential from his very first start in the H.I.T. Spring Break Tournament in South Carolina. He was a regular member of the starting pitching rotation for the 2004 Liberty District Champion Warhawks and looks forward to a strong sophomore season. Jason's thoughts on the Season: "N.F.W.U.B." Coach Gjormand on Jason: "Jason comes back for his sophomore season after putting up impressive numbers on the mound as freshman starter. He has put 15 pounds on his frame after an impressive off-season in the weight room. Jason will also compete for time at First Base and in the outfield. We expect this young left hander to do some great things for us this season." |
