Andrew started playing baseball in Warrington, PA where he enjoyed many years of success including winning a County Championship with his brother Brian. He played for the Senators following his freshman season as a pitcher and outfielder. He played for the JV Warhawks as a freshman and sophomore and was a key pitcher for the JV Warhawks.  Andrew combined on the hill with his brother Brian in the JV game versus Woodson. After Brian struck out 9 Cavaliers to start the game, Andrew took the hill to shut them down the rest of the way, striking out 6 batters in relief. That excellent combined effort may be a sign of more to come for the Warhawks from the Eck brothers.

Andrew joins his brother on the Varsity Warhawks this junior season. He hopes to help the team win District and Regional titles for the third consecutive year.

Andrew's  thoughts on the Season: "No one conditions or prepares more for a baseball season than Madison Baseball. Our off-season conditioning brought success in the past and it will in the present and future."

Coach Gjormand on Andrew: "Andrew joins us at the varsity level this year after having to miss much of his sophomore season due to injury. Andrew has shown great character and maturity in working through his frustration of being injured. He brings a very live left arm to the mound and is very gifted physically. As he continues to improve mentally at the varsity level, this kid could be electric. He has great off-speed stuff to go with his velocity. Once he gets comfortable, he will be another left hander contributing to our success."
