Chris grew up playing baseball in Vienna. He played Vienna Little League for the Giants and was an 11-12 year old all-star. As a 13 year old Chris played for the 14 and Under Vienna Mustangs. He played Vienna Babe Ruth Baseball and was an all-star. Chris also played one summer for the Hawks and last summer played American Legion Baseball. This fall Chris was a member of the Senators team that won their Division of NVFBL.
At Madison, Chris played for the Junior Varsity Warhawks as a freshman. Last season, as a sophomore Chris joined his brother Alan as a member of the State Championship Varsity team. Chris will step up to a bigger role this his Junior season.
Chris was named first team All-District this 2003 season.
Chris thoughts on the Season: "If we play all out, we are going to be great."
Coach Gjormand on Chris: "Chris has been waiting in the wings the past two years and shows the great depth of the Warhawk program. As a Junior, he will quickly make a name for himself as a great player in our Region. He has a great arm, live bat and tremendous athletic ability."
