At Madison, Ryan played as a catcher and DH for the JV Warhawks during his sophomore and freshman seasons.  Ryan was a captain of the JV Warhawks as a sophomore. Ryan joins the varsity as a Junior catcher and DH.  Among other things, Ryan is known for his strong arm behind the plate.

Ryan's thoughts on the Season: "We will always be a tough team to defeat. We always work hard."

Coach Gjormand on Ryan: "Ryan has been very impressive early on this spring.  He has worked incredibly hard over the past year to improve his skills as a catcher and at the plate.  His dedication to our off season weight room and track work outs have added nearly 20 pounds to his frame.  He will contribute as our back-up catcher this season and spend a great deal of time as a DH."
