At Madison Josh starred for the JV Warhawks as a freshman and then became a Varsity Warhawk as a sophomore. Josh pitched well for the Warhawks as a sophomore. Last season Josh had an excellent Junior season as he was a key member of the Warhawks pitching staff earning second team All-District. Josh was the winning pitcher in the Northern Regional Championship game in the Warhawks march to the State Championship and undefeated season. Josh has been a football standout at Madison also.
Josh was named first team All-District and All-Region this 2003 season.
Joshua's thoughts on the Season: "We will do what it takes to get where we want to go."
Coach Gjormand on Josh: "Josh returns for his senior year with great expectations. He has worked extremely hard in the off-season and takes over the leadership reins along with his senior teammates. Josh will lead a young but talented staff on the mound. After finishing his junior season with a 0.28 ERA, he is unquestionably one of the top pitchers in the region and will be a key ingredient to take us back to Richmond. He will play first base, left field or DH when not pitching. I expect great things from Josh at the plate and look for him to drive in a lot of runs."
