At Madison, Andrew played for the JV Warhawks as freshman starter before being called up to Varsity by the end of the season.  He is a three year starter for the Varsity Warhawks in center field where he has displayed his excellent athletic skills each season.  Last season Andrew  was the first team All-District centerfielder. Andrew scored the game winning run in the State Championship game.  Andrew has also starred in football for the Warhawks.

Andrew was named First Team All-Region and First Team All-District this 2003 season.

Andrew's thoughts on the Season: "N.F.W.U.B."

Coach Gjormand on Andrew: "Andrew Baird is a very talented player, who plays the game the way it's supposed to be played; hard, smart, enthusiastic and with a passion to win that can not be matched by most high school players.  A team can not do what we did in 2002 without a player like Andrew.  He sets the tone and brings it to the yard every day.  Every day is game day with this kid.  Andrews brings great athletic ability, power and a strong arm to centerfield for his third year as a starter for us.  He has done a wonderful job helping to lead a young team with lots of talent in the right direction.  He will be a great prize for whatever college he chooses and has a long successful career ahead of him."
